Common questions

My progress isn't syncing across devices

Syntax syncs via iCloud. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.

If sync still isn't working, try force-quitting the App and reopening it on both devices. If the issue persists, email us with your device details.

I lost my streak — can it be restored?

Streaks reset at midnight in your local time zone if no lesson is completed that day. If you believe your streak was lost due to a bug (e.g., the App crashed mid-lesson), contact us with your Apple ID and the approximate date and we'll look into it.

How do I delete my account and data?

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion" and your Apple ID (you can find it in Settings → [Your Name]). We'll process the request within 30 days.

The app crashed or a lesson won't load

First, try force-quitting and relaunching the App. If the problem persists, check that you're on the latest version in the App Store.

If it still happens, send us a bug report with your device, iOS version, and a description of what you were doing when it crashed.

Can I use Syntax offline?

Some lesson content is available offline once loaded. However, features that require your account — like streak sync, coin balance, and PVP battles — need an internet connection. iCloud sync will catch up automatically when you reconnect.

Where can I suggest a new language or feature?

We love hearing from learners. Email your suggestions to [email protected] with the subject "Feature Request". We read every message.

Tips for a smooth experience

Tip 01

Keep the App updated. Bug fixes and new lessons ship regularly through the App Store.

Tip 02

Enable notifications to get a daily reminder — it's the single best way to maintain your streak.

Tip 03

If a lesson feels stuck, force-quit the App and reopen it. This clears most transient state issues.

Sign in with Apple to unlock cross-device sync, leaderboards, and account recovery.
